Fall 2026
Navigating the Fall Transition
As the school year gets underway and clinic schedules shift into their autumn rhythms, we know this is often one of the busiest seasons for pediatricians, therapists, prescribers, and school teams.
Whether you are helping a student navigate new classroom expectations or identifying underlying challenges in a patient or client, Bloom is proud to serve as an accessible, collaborative diagnostic and therapeutic partner.
Here are a few updates, clinical resources, and team additions to support your work this fall:
🔎 Clinical Insight: Debunking 3 Common Myths About Psychological Testing
When discussing evaluations with patients, clients, or caregivers, hesitation often stems from common misconceptions. Here is how we address three of the most frequent barriers:
Myth 1: “Testing is always an entirely out-of-pocket expense that clients cannot afford.”
The Reality: While private evaluation fees can be daunting, Bloom is in-network with most major commercial insurance plans. Furthermore, for patients who have met or are nearing their annual deductible, completing evaluations in early autumn significantly minimizes out-of-pocket expenses before plan benefits reset at year's end. A patient’s cost can be as low as ~$300 if their deductible is met.
Myth 2: “Getting evaluated means waiting a year to be seen, and months more for results."
The Reality: Waitlists across the area for psychological testing often stretch 6 to 12 months, followed by prolonged waits for a written report. At Bloom, our goal is timely, responsive care: evaluations can often be completed within a couple of months of reaching out. Crucially, we also prioritize scheduling the feedback and results appointment within approximately two weeks of completing testing—ensuring your patients, their families, and their care teams receive actionable insights and clear roadmaps without indefinite delays.
Myth 3: “A diagnostic report just provides a clinical label without practical application.”
The Reality: A diagnosis without an actionable roadmap creates frustration. Every report from Bloom includes exhaustive, evidence-based recommendations tailored directly to the professionals supporting the individual—including specific classroom accommodations, sensory strategies, IEP/504 language, workplace supports, and targeted therapeutic modalities.

📚 Back-to-School: Identifying Support Needs Early
The transition into the fall semester frequently brings subtle challenges to the surface. Teachers, counselors, and clinicians often begin noticing students and pediatric patients who:
Struggle with executive functioning, such as task initiation or multi-step directions
Experience school avoidance or weekday morning anxiety (e.g., stomachaches)
Work exceptionally hard yet fall behind due to suspected processing, reading, writing, or math differences
Connecting students to diagnostic clarity early in the semester allows families and school teams to establish tailored 504 plans, IEP accommodations, or targeted therapies well before mid-term stress sets in.
Bloom is here to help your patients and students thrive this school year. Clients can schedule directly via our Appointment Request page—no formal referral required!

🎯 Service Update: Adult ADHD Targeted Evaluations
Following the rollout of our Adult ADHD Clinic earlier this summer, we continue to offer a streamlined, targeted evaluation pathway specifically for adult patients (ages 18+) seeking diagnostic clarity exclusively around focus, attention, and executive dysfunction.
This pathway provides prompt scheduling, accessible insurance-covered options, and actionable workplace and daily-living accommodations—allowing adult patients and their medical prescribers or therapists to collaborate on a clear treatment plan without unnecessary delays.
