Jenny Tarbox, PhD, HSPP

Psychological Testing

Psychological testing is my specialty.

I’m a strong believer that all students want to shine at school, and comprehensive testing is the most effective way to determine what’s causing your child’s road blocks so we can effectively navigate them. I know from seventeen years of experience working with children, families, and schools that figuring out what’s holding a child back (and more importantly, how to fix it) is a complex task. It requires an in-depth look at your child’s social-emotional functioning, an analysis of how external factors may be complicating your child’s struggles, and a clear understanding of how your child processes information.

Armed with that knowledge, I help kids and teens understand and overcome the learning, attentional, developmental, or social-emotional challenges that have held them back in the past. And I help their parents (and teachers, doctors, therapists, and tutors) help them!

The results

“For more than a decade, Dr. Tarbox and I shared many patients and collaborated on their treatment plans. Her calm, relaxed demeanor allows those with whom she interacts to feel truly comfortable. She is clinically excellent, has a kind and caring bedside manner and gives useful guidance to improve school performance and mental health.”
